Northern Ibiza feels like a different island. Pine-covered slopes meet rocky water, the coves are smaller and the shoreline has a wilder, less polished beauty than the busy south. From a northern base, Portinatx, Cala Xarraca and the coast toward Benirras create a full day of snorkelling, quiet views and slow exploration. It is an excellent choice for repeat visitors, nature-minded groups and anyone who would rather discover a secluded corner than arrive at the island's most photographed beach.

   Portinatx

   Portinatx gives the route a bright, welcoming start, with several small bays and clear water backed by wooded hills. Swim early, while the group is fresh and the day still feels wide open.

   Cala Xarraca

   Cala Xarraca is made for masks and snorkels. Rocky edges, transparent water and a more intimate scale create a strong contrast with Ibiza's long southern beaches.

   A north-coast cove selected for shelter

   The final stop is the captain's local choice: a cove with the best shelter, water and space that day. This element of discovery is the point of the north, where the less famous anchorage can become the group's favourite.
