Local route guide
The experience
A Palma departure keeps logistics simple and leaves more time for swimming. A typical day follows the bay toward Illetes, Cala Comtessa, Portals Vells or the quieter inlets around Cap de Cala Figuera, depending on wind and traffic. It is a flexible route for motorboats and catamarans, with lunch either on board or near a harbour. A half day works locally; a full day removes the pressure to rush between stops.
Use these as the shape of the day, with enough time at each stop to swim, relax and enjoy being there.
Begin close to Palma with an easy first swim off Illetes or Cala Comtessa. Both offer clear, inviting water and let the group settle into the boat without using the best part of the morning in transit.
Portals Vells brings pine-backed coves, pale rock and several corners to explore from the water. It is a natural place to snorkel, relax over lunch or simply enjoy the contrast with Palma's urban bay.
Leave room for the captain's choice of a quieter inlet around the southwest. The best stop is often the one with comfortable water and space that day, giving the group a final unhurried swim before the return.
