Why this trip is worth a day

The Lerins Islands are the natural first choice from Cannes. Sainte-Marguerite offers pine-fringed shoreline, coves and the Fort Royal area, while smaller Saint-Honorat is known for its monastery and vineyards. A private boat gives flexibility to swim and view both islands, but landing points, ferry lanes and anchoring restrictions still matter. A full day allows a shore visit and a separate swim rather than turning the islands into a quick circuit.

   Sainte-Marguerite

   Sainte-Marguerite exchanges the Croisette for pine and eucalyptus within minutes of leaving Cannes. Cruise its green shoreline, swim in clear water and step ashore for Fort Royal if the group wants some history.

   Saint-Honorat has a quieter, timeless character shaped by its monastery, vineyards and low rocky coast. It is a lovely contrast to Cannes and a rewarding place for a gentle walk or lunch stop.
