Local route guide
The experience
Delos and Rineia create the most complete private boat day from Mykonos. Delos is one of Greece's major archaeological sites, while nearby Rineia offers a quieter landscape and turquoise swimming. Decide in advance whether the group wants to land and tour Delos or view it from the water, because site opening, tickets and time ashore affect the route. A full day gives the best balance; a half day should prioritise either archaeology or extended swimming.
Use these as the shape of the day, with enough time at each stop to swim, relax and enjoy being there.
Step ashore on Delos to walk among temples, mosaics and the remains of one of the ancient Greek world's most important sacred places. Even viewed from the boat, the low island carries an extraordinary sense of history.
Cross the short distance to Rineia and swap archaeology for bright Cycladic water. Its quiet bays are ideal for a long swim, snorkelling and lunch on board with little development in view.
Let the captain choose a sheltered final stop or scenic line home. The return gives the group time to relax on deck and watch Mykonos reappear across the open water.
