The experience
Rineia is the right answer for groups who want the colour of the Cyclades without building the day around Mykonos beach clubs. Its bays can provide swimming, snorkelling and a simple lunch aboard, with Delos visible nearby. There are fewer facilities, so the boat's shade, toilet, drinks and catering matter. Conditions decide which side of the island is usable, and the captain should keep the plan loose enough to choose the calmest water.
Use these as the shape of the day, with enough time at each stop to swim, relax and enjoy being there.
Anchor in a sheltered Rineia bay where pale rock meets clear, almost luminous water. With little ashore to distract the group, the first swim becomes the main event.
Move around the island to a second cove chosen for visibility and shelter. Put on the snorkels, explore the rocky edges and return to lunch waiting on deck.
Cruise past Delos on the way home for a final view of the sacred island. Its low silhouette adds a sense of place and history to an otherwise beautifully simple swim day.
